About the Sports Literature Festival

The Sports Literature Festival is Norway's first, and only, literature festival dedicated to sports literature. The festival was founded in January 2025 and is a collaboration between Forza Hamar and the voluntary member association Sports Literature Festival (organization number: 935087783) . The festival will be held from 6-11 October 2025. In addition, warm-up round(s) will be held.

The Sports Literature Festival Association has the following statutory purpose:

• Organize an annual sports literature festival in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Organize other events throughout the year related to the Sports Literature Festival
or sports literature in general
• Spread the joy of reading and writing among children, young people and other age groups
• Increase interest in sports and sports literature
• Raise the focus on the importance of the role of literature for sports players.
