Used in UEFA Cup qualification against Hafnarfjordur in 2004. Replaced with Allan Borgvardt. Alemannia Achen qualified for the European Cup as the losing German Cup finalist and then played in the 2. Bundesliga. In the UEFA Cup they beat Lille and AEK Athens, among others, plus they played a draw against Zenit. The German level 2 team advanced from the group stage where they then lost to AZ.
